Connect Microsoft 365.

Bring documents in from SharePoint, OneDrive, Teams, Chats and Email without downloading them first.

Before you start #

You connect Microsoft 365 with your own Microsoft sign-in, and ismee acts only as you. It can only reach what you can already reach, and access is read only.

Connecting #

  1. Go to Workspace settings and find the Microsoft 365 card.
  2. Choose Connect, sign in with your Microsoft account and approve the read-only access.
  3. The card then shows the connection status, and a Disconnect option.

Bringing knowledge in #

In Knowledge admin → Add knowledge → Connected sources, choose Microsoft 365. You will see:

  • Suggested, a scan of OneDrive and SharePoint that suggests policy and handbook style files worth importing first.
  • OneDrive and SharePoint, where you browse folders and select files, or whole folders. Unsupported file types are greyed out.
  • Teams, to choose channels.
  • Chats, for one to one, group and meeting chats, filtered by type, showing when each was last active.
  • Email, listing your mail folders with message counts.

Teams, Chats and Email use a time window (30, 90, 180 or 365 days) and are assembled into transcripts. Those imports run in the background with progress shown, and you can press Stop at any point.

You can import up to 100 files in one document import.

What happens next #

Everything arrives as drafts for you to review. Nothing reaches your team until you approve it. See Adding knowledge for how the review step works.

What ismee keeps #

ismee reads each file once, extracts the text, uses it to draft knowledge, and then discards it. Your original files are never stored in ismee. Each finished knowledge file carries an admin-only note of what it was built from, which you can see in the Library.

This is a one-time import, not a sync. ismee does not watch your Microsoft 365 or update itself when something changes there. To pick up a newer version, import it again.

Disconnecting #

Disconnect on the Microsoft 365 card removes ismee's stored access. Knowledge you have already approved stays where it is.
